March 9, 2010 - School Exec Connect, the District's superintendent search firm, presented prospective candidates to the Board of Education in closed session Tuesday. The Board has identified six candidates who members would like to interview as the next step in the process. Additional steps, including interviews with finalists by a confidential 14-member stakeholder commnittee, will take place through March and early April with the Board aiming to approve a contract with a new superintendent for the 2010-2011 year at the April 29, 2010, Board of Education meeting.

The Board of Education has finalized the desired profile of a new superintendent that will be shared with prospective candidates and guide the District through the process of selecting a new administrative leader for the 2010-2011 year. The Board also has decided that a 14-member stakeholder committee will conduct confidential interviews with finalists to contribute essential community and stakeholder input into the Board’s decision. The Oak Park and River Forest High School District 200 Board of Education is entering into a search for a new school superintendent. We believe that your input will provide valuable guidance for us as we move through the process of selecting a new superintendent. Numerous hour-long focus group sessions have been scheduled in January to help develop the desired profile for our next superintendent. An online survey is available, as well.
