Trapeze is the student newspaper at Oak Park and River Forest High School. It is published by 40 students, including 9 editors. It is published every third full week of the school year, and reaches over 3,500 readers- students, parents, faculty members, and community subscribers.
Trapeze is one of a small number of student-produced high school newspapers in the nation to win a number of Gold Crown Awards from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association at Columbia University in New York City, and Pacemaker Awards from the National Scholastic Press Association at the University of Minnesota. It has also won numerous awards from the Los Angeles Times, the Illinois Women’s Press Association, and Quill and Scroll, the national honor society for scholastic journalism.
