State Testing in 2017-18

The Illinois State Board of Education's testing requirements changed in July 2016. The following tests are now required:

Required for
SAT, including essay

All juniors

Beginning with the class of 2018, juniors will be required to take the SAT in order to earn an Illinois public high school diploma (unless there is an IEP that specifies that the appropriate assessment is the DLM-AA). 

Test Date:

April 10 (makeup testing April 24)

DLM-Alternate Assessment Juniors with IEPs that specify Alternate Assessment

Testing Window:

March 6-April 28

ACCESS for ELLs English Language Learners who have not yet attained proficient scores on a prior year's ACCESS test

Testing Window: January 8 -February 9

Illinois Science Assessment All students enrolled in a first-year biology course, regardless of grade level

March 1-April 28
