Co-Curricular Participation Information/Handbook

Oak Park and River Forest High School has approximately 3200 students. Typically over 1700 students take part in sports activities. We have 28 sports programs, around 80 teams, and approximately 110 coaches. OPRFHS is a member of the Illinois High School Association and the West Suburban Conference (Silver Division).

Students involved in athletic programs are visible representatives of Oak Park and River Forest High.  It is crucial that a strong link between good citizenship and opportunities for participation be maintained.

Prospective athletic participants should refer to the Athletic Handbook to become familiar with the terms and conditions that are applicable throughout the school year whether or not the student is in season.

STUDENT ATHLETE REGISTRATION PROCESS
All students that wish to try-out for an athletic team MUST have completed and submitted the following information(in person) to the Athletic Office:

•     Athletic Participation Form
•     Current Physical Examination Form
•     Be cleared of any outstanding Athletic Obligations(including uniform and athletic participation fees)
