At its regular meeting on June 22, 2017, the Board of Education approved the district's strategic plan as a working document. The plan is an update of the one previously approved in 2014.
One of the Board charges to the new superintendent in fall 2016 was to review the strategic plan and find a way to move the district toward its full implementation. Roughly 30 stakeholders who had participated in crafting that plan reconvened to create specific strategies and action steps for the each of the six broad goals of the plan: Holistic Community Education, Equity, Supportive Learning Environment, Transformational Teaching and Learning, Transformational Leadership, and Facilities and Finance.
This plan will be a living, working document. As the administration delves into the work of assigning ownership for implementation plans and developing teams of faculty, staff, administrators, etc. to carry out the strategies and action steps, specific actions, tasks, etc., will further evolve. The district will provide regular updates on the plan as the work is carried out.
