A message from Mr. Rouse about the dress code

September 7, 2016

Dear Families,

OPRF has a dress code, outlined on page 24 of the student handbook. (Click here.) Consistent enforcement of the dress code has been a challenge for us as a school community, and I ask for your help in addressing this issue. As we continue to work toward equity and improving our culture, climate, and behavior, I have asked faculty and staff to review the dress code and to be more vigilant about talking with students regarding appropriate school attire. Parents and guardians, I hope that you will do the same. Before sending your children from your home and into our care, please review with them what is and isn’t appropriate clothing for school. The way we dress says a lot about who we are. OPRF is about education first, and our clothing should not be a distraction to the learning environment. I thank you for your support in helping our students understand and adhere to the dress code.
