Building closing at 5 pm, Incoming Freshman Open House rescheduled

February 5, 2019

Dear OPRF High School Students, Staff, and Families,

The National Weather Service has issued an Ice Storm Warning from 6 p.m. this evening through 6 a.m. tomorrow. As a result, the building will close today at 5:00 p.m. All activities, practices, rehearsals, meetings, etc., must conclude by 5:00 p.m.

The Incoming Freshman Open House has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 6:00 p.m. Parents, please note that the flier you received in your folder at Incoming Freshman Parent Night has been updated and is attached to this email. Corrections are highlighted in yellow.  If your child’s counselor is either Ms. White or Mr. Sherman, their presentation location has been moved from the South Cafeteria to Room 276 (Testing Center).

In collaboration with the superintendents of Districts 90 and 97, Superintendent Dr. Pruitt-Adams will be closely monitoring weather and road conditions throughout the evening and overnight. We will be sure to inform you as soon as possible if conditions warrant making a decision regarding any school delay or closure for tomorrow.

Please be safe this evening!

Sincerely,
Karin Sullivan
Executive Director of Communications & Community Relations
