Huskie Kickoff welcomes class of 2016

August 22, 2012

The class of 2016 received a high-energy welcome to their first day of high school with today’s Huskie Kickoff. When they arrived at the Main Entrance, they were greeted by upper-class mentors in matching orange T-shirts, a drum line, cheerleaders and the drill team, and of course, the Huskie mascots. Following a welcome by Principal Rouse, students spent the day meeting their counselors, finding their lockers, enjoying lunch on OPRF, and meeting their teachers. The day concluded with the 106 mentors, who spent two days this summer training for their roles, performing a dance they created, before they tapped dozens of the freshmen to join them on the Field House floor. Welcome, class of 2016—we’re glad you’re here!
