Oak Park and River Forest High School will be open and operating on a two-hour late-arrival schedule on Thurs., Jan. 8, 2015. First period will begin at 10:00 a.m. The modified bell schedule is below.
Please note that the building will open at 7:00 a.m., and students may go to the North Cafeteria any time before first period. Students may enter at the Main Entrance, Erie Street Entrance, or the South Hall Mall entrance.
All before-school practices and activities are canceled. However, after-school practices and activities will follow their usual schedule.
As we noted yesterday, students’ grades will be available for viewing via Family Access on Fri., Jan. 9. The mailing of paper report cards has been delayed until Mon., Jan. 12.
As always, our priority is the safety and security of our students, faculty, and staff. When it is possible, we want our students to be learning in school. Given that the frigid temperatures are expected to abate during the day tomorrow, we believe this late-arrival plan balances our priorities of safety and education. If you prefer to keep your student at home tomorrow, you may call it in as an excused absence.
