OPRF students create Potbelly's Huskie Shake to benefit American Cancer Society

November 19, 2012

From now through Saturday, December 1, the Oak Park Potbelly is selling the OPRF student-created Huskie Shake, with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society (ACS). Huskie Athletic Council officers Charlie Lena, Sedrick McDonald, and Nicole Smart dreamed up the shake flavor: chocolate-Oreo-peanut butter.

The Huskie Shake is part of a wider effort to benefit ACS, which will culminate in the Coaches vs. Cancer event at the Boys Varsity Basketball game against Fenwick, on December 1 at 6:00 p.m. Athletics staff members are working on this event with 1993 OPRF grad Danielle Villari Swets, who was diagnosed with cancer during her sophomore year at OPRF and now works for ACS. Everyone is encouraged to wear purple, and staff will be accepting donations for ACS, promoting halftime activities and raffling off prizes.
