Plan ahead if attending OPRF musical this Saturday, July 16

July 14, 2016

If you are planning to attend our performance of “Legally Blonde” at 7:30 p.m. this Saturday, July 16, we want to let you know about an event that may cause some extra congestion around the high school.

Local residents have planned a march that has been promoted as a peaceful protest against racism and discrimination by suburban businesses. Fliers and social media postings from march promoters have asked participants to meet at Lake Street and East Avenue at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, then march to Madison Street in Forest Park.

The march is not a high school event. Nevertheless, we will have extra personnel on site to help direct performance attendees to the building. In addition, we’ve been informed that the march organizers are working with the Oak Park Police Department to help minimize any disruption from the event.

If you are planning to attend the musical on Saturday, please allow extra time in your planning. Enjoy the show!
