Due to the volume of questions parents and students are asking about changes in state law, the Driver Ed Department is holding its MANDATORY Parent/Guardian/Student meeting for students taking FALL Driver Education on Monday, May 19. If your student is enrolled in next Fall Semester Driver Education, you must attend this meeting.

and directed by senior Mara Dale, this play’s action takes place in Tuna, a small town in Texas.
Through a series of vignettes, or short skits, the play satirizes rural American life during an
ambiguous, timeless decade in American history. The show was originally played by two men
performing 20 characters; the OPRF version will include seven actors. Times are:

FRAME WAREHOUSE ART SHOW & AWARDS - 6: 30 - 8 p.m., Wed. May 21, 346 Harrison Street.
Frame Warehouse will host its annual OPRFHS student art awards and show at its 346 Harrison
Street gallery and shop from 6:30 - 8 p.m. on Wed. May 21.
Frame Warehouse generously donates the frames and hosts this reception for Oak Park and River
Forest High School student artists. During this four-year partnership, more than eight students
have interned at Frame Warehouse and have gone on to specialize in the fine arts at colleges all
over the country. OPRFHS and Frame Warehouse alumna Emily Williams is now studying in Sydney,
Australia! Many come back and work summers and holidays while in school.
"I can't say enough about the fine young men and women that come out of art department at
OPRF. They are so talented and hard working," Paul Hamer, Frame Warehouse owner, said.
The show is open to the public at the shop that has specialized in custom frames, oil
paintings, photographs, posters, antique photographs and paper documents, children's art and more
for the last 28 years. Fabric and hard to frame items are its specialty.

INCOMING FRESHMEN REMINDERS – YOU MUST COMPLETE ENROLLMENT IN DISTRICT 200 - APRIL 30 DEADLINE HAS PASSED!
District 200 is a separate district from where your children attended elementary and middle
school. Before your student can attend OPRFHS, you must enroll your child in the new
district, District 200/Oak Park and River Forest High School. Enrollment must be completed
for each child, even if your family has other children currently attending
OPRFHS.

Eighth grade families and students are invited to attend a special panel of successful African American students from Oak Park and River Forest High School (OPRFHS) to get their perspectives on what it takes to be successful and thrive at OPRFHS. The discussion is sponsored by the Our African American Children committee of the Percy Julian PTO. The 2-hour program starts at 7 p.m. at Percy Julian (exact location in the school TBD).
