Medical Benefits
Health/Hospitalization Insurance: OPRFHS provides qualified employee health coverage through two HMO and two PPO plans. These plans require a small, monthly employee contribution, with the remaining amount being paid for by the Board of Education.

Dental Insurance: OPRFHS provides qualified employees single dental coverage. Employees may choose family coverage and authorize a payroll deduction for the family premium.

Life Insurance/Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD & D): OPRFHS provides qualified employees with this coverage for an amount equal to their annual salary rounded to the next highest $1,000.00. The employee may designate his or her beneficiaries. Covered employees may purchase supplemental life coverage at the time of employment or during open enrollment period.

Long Term Disability Insurance (LTD): OPRFHS provides qualified, contractual employees with this coverage.

Pension Plans
Licensed employees are members of the Teachers' Retirement System of Illinois (TRS) and pay 9.5% of their annual compensation into this plan to fund disability benefits, death benefits, and a life-time pension when age and service requirements are met.

Non-licensed employees who work 600 hours or more hours in a regular position are members of the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) and pay 4.5% of their annual compensation into this plan to fund disability benefits, death benefits, and a life-time pension when age and service requirements are met. The District also pays in a percentage of employee earnings based on actuarial rates provided annually by IMRF.

Tax Sheltered Annuity (TSA): An employee may open an account with a company listed on the District's approved TSA list and authorize a payroll deduction into that account.

Professional Educator License Information (previously known as Certification)
Individuals should contact the website offered by West 40 Intermediate Service Center #2, which is part of the Cook County Suburban Regional Office of Education. OPRF is located in Region 6, so anyone who has an educator license who works at our school must register their educator license in Region 6.
