HOMECOMING 2008 AND 2009
HOMECOMING is SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2008. The varsity football game against Morton will begin at approximately 1:30 pm Saturday afternoon. So far we've heard that 1998, 1988, 1983, 1968, 1947 and 1945 are planning to hold reunions that weekend. Reunions for the Classes of 1978, 1958, 1953 and 1941 will also take place at other dates in the fall of 2008 - we'd love to hear from other classes as well. Please get in touch.
EVENTS FOR ALUMNI on Saturday, October 4 will include Tours of the School, the Alumni & Family Lunch Social, and the Football Game. Other activities at the school are in the works including Friday evening events as well. You'll receive our newsletter that we mail to our members and donors three times per year. It's 8 pages filled with news sent from OPRFHS graduates of all ages from across the country and around the world. There's also news of current school events and alumni activities such as Class Reunions and other social events for alumni. WATER POLO Alumni - Save the Date!
The Second Annual PAUL ECKENROAD '77 MEMORIAL WATER POLO BOWL is set to take place on Saturday, November 29, 2008 in the OPRFHS East Pool from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM followed by food & drinks (cash bar) at O'Sullivans Pub in Forest Park. Suggested "pay to play" donation is $20 with all proceeds benefitting OPRFHS water polo and swimming programs. AND THANK YOU TO EVERYBODY who stopped by to do some grocery shopping at WHOLE FOODS MARKET in River Forest on THURSDAY, MAY 15 to support the OPRFHS Alumni Association. We enjoyed having the opportunity to meet some of you and let the community know about us and what we do for current and former OPRFHS students. It seemed to be a very successful day for us, and we hope for Whole Foods as well. We appreciate their generous support in donating 5% of the day's proceeds to us.
Our only source of revenue to support our activities such as the newsletter, reunion support, website maintenance and the very important Summer Enrichment Grants for current students comes from DONATIONS and other community support. That makes this type of support from the local business community all the more important to us. Thank you once again to the wonderful staff at Whole Foods for everything they did to help us make this a success!

The weather was cold outside but the spirits were warm inside Healy's last January. We hope to have another event at some point during 2008 for All OPRFHS ALUMNI as a fund raiser for our Summer Enrichment Grant Program. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please get in touch.
