and MORE THANKS - We received an especially generous donation from the CLASS of 1951 in recognition of its recent 60th anniversary reunion - thank you so VERY MUCH. They also sent along a copy of their booklet "A Brief History of OPRFHS" which reminded us that it was called Oak Park Township High School prior to 1950! At that time, Oak Park and River Forest consolidated their separate high school districts and the school was renamed Oak Park & River Forest High School!

About the OPRFHS Alumni Association
The Alumni Association of Oak Park & River Forest High School was organized in 2002 by a group of local alumni for the benefit of both former and current students.
Our goal is to provide opportunities for ALUMNI to maintain and enhance connections with their classmates and the OPRFHS community. These include websites and E-Bulletins, a NEWSLETTER mailed to our donor members three times per year and FINANCIAL AID through our Summer Enrichment Grants to current high school students to help them participate in a wide variety of educational enrichment programs. Your donation to the Alumni Association will help enrich the lives of current OPRFHS students. Please support us - we depend entirely on tax-deductible membership CONTRIBUTIONS and other donations from the community to fund our operations. Any amount is appreciated.

We offer four years of full membership to new grads from the Class of 2011 - to sign-up please print out the membership form HERE .
HOMECOMING and REUNIONS
HOMECOMING 2012 is scheduled for the weekend of October 12-13, 2012. The football game will be Friday night. No other details are available at this time.

1967 - Larry Fulgenzi and other '67 classmates are working with Reunions Unlimited to plan a 45 year reunion. 1972 - Plans are in the works for a 40 year reunion to include a casual get-together on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Fitzgerald's in Berwyn as well as the varsity football game at the high school on Friday evening. Special note: Teresa "Terri" Neufeldt Race, of South Oak Park, was a member of the class of '72. A devoted wife and loving mother of four, Terri worked in the River Forest Schools as a technology specialist for ten years. In early 2010, she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and passed away that December. To honor her memory and continue her drive for educational technology, Terri's family has started a fund in her name. In an effort to continue awarding scholarships in the form of technology, the first annual "Terri's Race" will take place this fall. Participants are invited to run, walk or rollerblade, Terri's preferred form of exercise.

A BIG THANK YOU to the staff at OPRFHS for all their help with alumni related activities.
