ACTSO
Talented African American students are invited to audition Thursday, September 11 in Room 272 to be on the 13th Annual Community Festival of Foods program on Saturday, September 13 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m., at Ascension Church. Learn about other opportunities for performance at weekly ACTSO meetings.

Computer Proficiency Computer Proficiency is a graduation requirement that may be met through proficiency testingThe first proficiency test is Wednesday, September 17 at 3:15 p.m. in Room 303. 50 students may take the exam and only registered students will be permitted to take the test. Registration is from September 8th through September 15th during school hours. You must register in person. See Mrs. Rice in the third floor library to register. A current OPRFHS student ID is required on the test date.
A practice test is scheduled for September 15th at 7:30am to 8:50am in room 303 for registered students. Consult page 21 in the 08-09 Academic Hand book for additional information.
SAT I & II
The Sat Test I & II is being administered at OPRFHS on October 4. Deadline to register is
September 9. Pick-up a registration packet in the counselor’s offices or apply on-line.

Topics to be covered include using Naviance in your college search, college applications and deadlines, essay writing, letters of recommendation, and transcripts.
