Do you like acting, poetry, debate issues, new broadcasting, and more? Well, come to the Speech Team meeting today at 3:30 p.m. in Room 371. Bring a friend, no experience necessary, all are welcome! Not able to attend, stop by Room 414 before or after school and talk with Mrs. Cheney.

Do you like to be in charge of everything? Are you really organized? Are you interested in directing Studio 200 one day? Come to an informational stage management meeting on Monday, Sept. 15 at 3:15 p.m. in front of the main auditorium and find a great way to get involved in theatre! Questions? Wheel Throwing club will meet briefly today to make plans for the fall. Come to room 390 at 3:15 p.m. with your ideas to share so we can create a schedule and elect officers. If you can't be there and have some ideas, drop in room 390 or 399 and see Ms. Ebsen on Wed. or Thursday before the meeting. We'll start working with clay every Thursday starting Sept. 18 in Room 399. Everyone is welcome.

The ACT Test is being administered at OPRFHS on September 13. Students must be at the front doors at 7:45 a.m. No one will be admitted without I.D. and admission ticket.
Seniors
You will be receiving an invitation through your 2nd period teachers to attend a Senior College Planning Meeting. Sessions begin Tuesday, Sept. 16, and run through Thursday, Sept. 25. Your Counselor will be your host for this important meeting. Your invitation will indicate the date, room assignment, and time of the session that your Counselor will be hosting. A complete schedule of all Counselors’ sessions can be found in Room 207, 208 and 308. If you do not receive your personal invitation, please check this schedule or see your Counselor’s secretary. Help US help YOU plan for your future! We look forward to seeing you!
Seniors
Any senior who did not take the PSAE as a junior may use the Grade 12 PSAE retake to satisfy the graduation requirement to take the PSAE. Any senior who took the PSAE as a junior may retake the 2-day test. Pick up forms and instructions from Room 373. Deadline is September 16, 2008.
Seniors Registered For Fall ACT Test Prep
The first TestWatch TestPrep class for ACT will NOT be held tonight as originally scheduled because of Parent Back-to-School night. The first ACT test prep class for seniors will be held next Tuesday, September 16, in Room 374, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Bring pencils and your calculator.
SPORTS CORNER
Boys’ Lacrosse
There will be a mandatory meeting for Boy’s Lacrosse on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 3:15 p.m. in the Monogram Room. If you can’t attend the meeting, see coach Terretta in Room 484.
Varsity Boys’ Basketball
Any junior or senior who is interested in trying out for the Varsity Boys’ Basketball team should attend open gym on Tuesday and Thursday at 4:15 p.m. Interested individuals must attend a study session at 3:15 p.m. in Room 350 in order to participate in the open gyms on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
