French Exchange Program
Are you a Junior or Senior taking 3rd year French or Higher? You could be qualified to participate in the French Exchange Program to Paris and the South of France in the spring of 2009. Come to an Informational Meeting on Tuesday Sept. 23 at 3:15 p.m. in Room 337. See Ms. Mazumdar for details.
Medal of Honor
If you did at least 100 hours of volunteer service last school year and summer, you’re eligible for the 21st Annual Sheriff’s Youth Service Medal of Honor Award. Applications are available at the Welcome Center, Room 105, or the Student Activities Center. Applications must be postmarked by Monday, October 6, so don’t delay!
Power Puff Game
Today and Friday Power Puff applications are available to pick up in the Student Activity Office. Your application may only be turned in on Monday (late arrival) beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Student Activity Office. Your application must be completed with all signatures. You may only turn in YOUR application.
Volunteer Opportunity
Help our flooded River Forest neighbors near Lake Street west of Thatcher. The River Forest Police will be coordinating student volunteer efforts after school and on the weekend to help flooded families clear and clean their homes in the aftermath of the DesPlaines River flooding along Lake Street. Many elderly people are in need of help. Lend a hand. Work gloves and safety instructions will be provided. Be sure to check in with any of the River Forest Police Department officers on duty near Lake Street and Thatcher as soon as you arrive to receive instructions.

FCA, a non school sponsored club, will continue to read from the book of Proverbs this Friday morning at 7:30 a.m. in Room 246. As always, come for a special Orange & Blue treat. All are welcomed.

Sci-Fi will be meeting today at 3:15 p.m. in Ms. Lee’s Room (474). We will continue to brainstorm ideas for the upcoming year.

If you are interested in attending the 2009 “People to People” Leadership Summit, please see your Counselor to request nomination. Nominees must exhibit academic excellence and outstanding leadership potential. See your Counselor no later than Tuesday, September 23 for more information.

If you plan to take the PSAT on Saturday, October 18, you must register for the test. Forms are in Room 373. The deadline is September 19.
AP/Triton Dual Credit Program
Students who wish to participate in the Triton Dual Credit program must register for the program. Forms are in Room 373. The deadline is September 19.
