Auditions
Auditions for the 2nd Little Theater show, Absent Friends, by Alan Ayckboourn are this Tues. and Wed. from 3:15 to 6:15 p.m. The sign up is outside of Room 347. See Mr. Lessing for details and a copy of the script. No experience necessary. (A. Lessing)
Calling all Bands and Musicians
Huskiepalooza is coming! If you or your band is interested in performing, auditions will be tomorrow in the band room. Sign up for an audition time in the Student Activity Center by Mon., Oct. 6.
Spring Break Ecuador Trip
If you are in a 4th or 5th year Spanish class and are interested in a trip to Ecuador, please come pick up an application and find out more on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 3:10 p.m. in Room 415. If you cannot make the meeting, please stop by Room 415 and see Ms. Oliver.
Yearbook Missed Pictures and Retakes
If you are unhappy with your ID or missed having your picture during registration you may take or retake your photo Tuesday from 7:30 a.m. - 4 pm in the Student Activity Center, Room 174. Seniors please note that this does NOT apply to you.
Youth Service Medal of Honor Award
If you did at least 100 hours of volunteer service last school year and summer, you’re eligible for the 21st Annual Sheriff’s Youth Service Medal of Honor Award. Applications are available at the Welcome Center, Room 105, or the Student Activities Center. Applications must be postmarked by today.

Biology/Environmental Club
HUSKIE GREEN TIP: Remember to turn off the water while brushing your teeth. You can save up to 5 gallons of water each day. Club members; see you at the next meeting on Tuesday, October 7 in Room 111 at 3:15 p.m. As always there is a lot going on! (C. McGuckin)

Freedom Readers Book Club
Please join us on Tuesday directly after school in the Heritage Room in the Library, 3rd floor. We will continue our discussion about the upcoming election as it relates to key points in Covenant With Black America (voting and housing). All are welcome to join the Club! (E. Glenn)
Attention Photo Club
We will be meeting Wednesday, October 8 in Room 334 at 3:15 p.m. to vote for officers and discuss our upcoming “Photo Brunch” on Sunday. If you intend or are interested in attending the weekend photo outing be sure to be there so trip arrangements can be finalized. FYI - We also hope to take our yearbook group picture on our trip this weekend. Semester Event/Project calendars are available with Ms. Carrow; so you can pick them up any time. ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT/SCHOLARSHIPS/OPPORTUNITIES
Attention All Students
A state graduation requirement is completing a course in Consumer Education. Students can meet this requirement by passing the Illinois Consumer Education Proficiency Test which will be given October 8 at 3:15 p.m. in Room 302. The exam is limited to 50 students and only registered students will be permitted to take the exam. Register in person by Monday with Mrs. Rice in the third floor library.
Juniors
There is room for a few more juniors who wish to take the PSAT/NMSQT on Saturday, October 18. To take the test, you must register in Room 373. Final deadline to register is Friday, October 10. After that time, if you have not registered to take the PSAT, we will not have test materials for you and you should not come to school on the day of the test.
NEW! Test Prep Class for December ACT
TestWatch TestPrep is forming classes to prepare students for the December 13 ACT. Classes are Monday and Wednesday evenings from October 29 – December 10. Register online at www.twtp.com or pick up registration materials in Room 373.
