CLUB CORNER
Academic Enrichment Grant Opportunities
The Academic Enrichment Grants Bulletin is now available. Find it on the school website http://www.oprfhs.org/programs_and_services/counselors/Local_Scholarships.html
and in the Counselors’ Offices, Rooms 207, 208, and 308. Students will be able to apply for funds to participate in foreign travel, a summer music class, poetry, science or math enrichment programs, a service project and a host of other academically enriched programs. Grants are available for all students through the generosity of local donors. This is your chance to take advantage of that little extra something that might make a difference in your life. Application deadlines vary, but of special importance in November are two grants for students who would like to participate in one of the student exchange trips offered by the high school: the Linda Levine Travel Award and the Tibensky Academic Enrichment Award. Freedom Readers Book Club
Please join us directly after school today in the Heritage Room, Library, 3rd floor. We will continue of discussion about the upcoming election as it relates to key points in Covenant With Black America (voting and housing). (E. Glenn)

Japanese club continues to meet on Tuesdays after school. We will discuss more about Japanese crab this week.

New! Test Prep Class for December ACT
TestWatch TestPrep is forming classes to prepare students for the December 13 ACT. Classes are Monday and Wednesday evenings from October 29 – December 10. Register online at www.twtp.com or pick up registration materials in Room 373.
SPORTS CORNER
Co-ed Intramural Softball Tournament
Register your team now for OPRF’s Co-ed Intramural Softball Tournament. The Tournament takes place Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 21 and 22 from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. on the south field under the lights. Admission is free. Any student or staff can participant. Drop your team roster off at the Student Center or hand your team roster to Mr. Baker or Mr. Ledbetter and show the Cubs and Sox how to get it done. Come show your OPRF school spirit and pride. We need a minimum of 4 ladies, 12 people per team. (R. Baker)
Winter Sports Registration
Participation & Registration Forms and try-out Information is now available for all winter sports teams. All forms are located outside the Athletic Department Office. We will begin accepting Registration Forms in the Athletic Office on Monday, October 20. You must also have a current physical on file in order to try-out.
