Red Ribbon Week is here. Come celebrate a drug and alcohol free OPRFHS! Join the “So Fresh and Drug Free” Huskie Club. Stop by for your chance to grab an air freshener for your locker, a chance to win a flying disk, and grab some information while you’re there.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month
2.4 million women living in the United States have been diagnosed with and treated for Breast Cancer. That is greater than 10 times the amount of students who ever attended this high school in its history. Next Tuesday is Breast Cancer Awareness Day at OPRF. Please wear pink to support the cause of Breast Cancer Awareness and Education.
Cal Arts Master Class
Cal Arts University will be teaching an audition master class on Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. in the third floor dance studio. Students with an interest and background in ballet and modern dance that are interested in pursuing dance at the college level can attend this class. Cal Arts will be recruiting seniors and juniors that may be interested in their program. They are also seeking students who may be qualified for scholarship money. For more information see Ms. Riner.
Students Traveling to France
Attention all students travelling to France this spring. There will be a mandatory meeting with parents and students on Monday, Oct. 27 in the Staff Cafeteria at 7:00 p.m. If you cannot attend the meeting, please see Ms. Mazumdar for the necessary information regarding the French Exchange.
Godspell opens Saturday!
Come see the first Little Theatre show of the year Godspell, the musical, opens this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Other performances are: Sunday at 3:00 p.m. and next week Thursday, October 30 at 4:00 p.m., Friday, October 31 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, November 1 at 7:30 p.m. This hit musical features the music of Stephen Schwartz of Wicked fame, directed by Michelle Bayer and musical directed by senior, Paul Whalen.
Huskiepalooza
Huskiepalooza is this Friday. Admission is only $3, doors open at 6:30 and no one will be admitted after
7:30 p.m. OPRF students only and you must have your current student ID.

The feature film that over 40 OPRF students worked is now available on DVD. It can be purchased at the store, Fly Bird which is across the street from Tasty Dog.
OPRF Mock Election
The Illinois League of Women’s Voters will assist this Friday in a mock election. The will be bringing real voting booths. So cast your vote this Friday during your lunch period in the Student Center.
Spirit Tags
Support the Gospel Choir and get your spirit tag today and tomorrow in the Student Center for only $5.
World Set Free
Final chance to see World Set Free, by Bryn Magnus, directed by Elise Kibler in Studio 200 tonight at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are only $5 dollars.

ACTSO will screen a movie once a month followed by a discussion, starting this Monday, October 27. Meet in Room 272C at 3:15 p.m. A special surprise for members that qualify. Guest are welcome to come learn about ACTSO. (LeCesne/Byars)
Biology/Environment Club
Did you know switching one 40 watt regular light bulb to a 9 watt CFL light bulb can save over 440 LBS of carbon from entering the atmosphere per year? The Biology/Environmental Club is sponsoring a CFL light bulb exchange. From Oct. 28- Oct. 30 the Biology/ Environmental club will be at all lunch periods exchanging your light bulbs. Please bring in one regular bulb and the Biology/ Environmental Club will exchange it to a more environmentally friendly CFL bulb, for free!!! If you have questions please see Mrs. McGuckin in Rm 111.
