Sports Team Manager
All current sport team managers and students interested in becoming a manager for an athletic team please come to an informational meeting Thursday 3:15 p.m. in Room 174. Please see Ms. Sakellaris in the Athletic Office with any questions.
Invisible Children
During lunch periods on Thursday, November 6 and Friday, November 7, please visit the Model UN tables outside of the South Cafeteria to have your hands traced. For $1.00 you can show your support in an effort to stop child warfare worldwide. All proceeds will go to the Invisible Children cause. (J. Silver)
Benefit Concert
Model UN is holding a benefit concert for Invisible Children on Friday night in the Student Center from 7:00-9:30 p.m. Five student bands will be playing. Admission is $5. Come have fun and support a great cause.
Sophomore T Shirts for sale!!
Attention sophomores, come check out your class shirts! They will be on sale all week during lunch periods. The cost is $10. We have all sizes!
Spoken Word Showcase
Get your tickets for the November 6 showcase from Mr. Kahn asap, they are selling fast. (P. Kahn)
Studio 200 Auditions!
The 2nd Quarter Studio 200 show auditions are this week! The play is Sympathetic Magic, written by Lanford Wilson and directed by Connor Stratton. Auditions are Tuesday and Wednesday after school, and callbacks will be Thursday, so sign up outside Studio 200! No experience necessary.

Come to an ASPIRA this Wednesday after school in Ms. Diaz’ room, 385 and be a part of the fun.
Astronomy Club Meeting (K. McCarron)
The Astronomy Club will meet on the tennis courts at 8:30 p.m. tonight, if it is clear. See Jupiter, stellar nurseries and galaxies. Dress for the weather. We'll discuss the field trip to the Adler Planetarium.
Chemistry Club
We will meet in Room 184 on Wed. morning at 7:20 a.m. for a fire experiment. New members are always welcome. (C. Rulis)

We have a meet today at Proviso East, please meet outside the Student Activity Center directly after school.
Environmental/Biology Club
We will not be meeting today as it is Election Day! Go and vote instead! All photographers: Enter the Fairchild Challenge environmental photojournalism competition and your photos might be published among other rewards. See Mrs. McGuckin in Room 111 for more information.
Photo Club Members
We have a meeting today after school in the photo lab room 334 at 3:15 for about an hour. We will be printing our postcard images for the fundraiser with Environment Club. Please be prepared to print at least 5 images. See you there.

Skateboarders don’t forget to stop by and get your forms—just stop by Room 331 any time and get your forms for skateboard club participation.

SAT I & II
The SAT I & II is being administered at OPRFHS on December 6. The deadline to register is November 5, 2008. Pick-up a registration packet in the counselor’s offices and apply on-line.

Boys’ Cross Country
Our post season meeting is Wednesday at 3:15 in the Monogram Room. Bring your uniform and sweats. Also, vote for MVP and plan our banquet. (Coach Sosa)
Co-Ed Badminton Intramurals
Sign up will take place through Thursday Nov. 6 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. in the field house. Bring ID and $10. Intramurals will meet on most Monday and Thursdays.
Varsity Boys’ Basketball
Any junior or senior interested in trying out for the varsity boys’ basketball team should attend open gym next week after school. Tryouts will begin on Monday, November 10. Each interested player must have an updated physical on file and the required paperwork from the Athletic office completed and turned in. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Maloney in room 350.
Winter Basketball Intramural
Sign up for Basketball Intramurals starting today in the 3 south gym from Nov. 3 thru Nov 14. Students need $10 and student ID to register. (R. Baker)
