Attention all Jazz Fans
The OPRF Jazz Program will be presenting their fall concert on Monday, November 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the Little Theater. Guests include the OPRF Jazz Combo directed by Jeremy Kahn, Jazz Vocalist Maggie Kucera, and the OPRF Jazz Band and Jazz Ensemble. All our welcome. Come on out and support your peers. Attention Computer Science Students
Mr. Allee is putting together a team to compete with other schools in computer science contests. If you know, or are learning a computer programming language like Java or C-plus-plus, come by Room 229 next Wednesday at 3:15 p.m. to get involved.
Battle of the Bands
Model UN is holding a benefit concert for Invisible Children tonight in the Student Center from 7:00-9:30 p.m. The bands are: Tonight the Prom, Jeremy Aregood, Idiosyncrasies, Jack Hale, and India by Rail. Admission is $5. Come have fun and support a great cause.
Invisible Children
Today is the last day to visit the Model UN tables outside of the South Cafeteria to have your hands traced to support the Indivisible Children. For $1.00 you can show your support in an effort to stop child warfare worldwide. All proceeds will go to the Invisible Children cause. (J. Silver)
Sophomore T Shirts for sale!!
Attention sophomores, come check out your class shirts on sale during your lunch period. The cost is $10. We have all sizes!
Turkey Bowl
Huskie Athletic Council is sponsoring a 7 on 7 flag football tournament on Nov. 24-25. All proceeds will benefit Children’s Memorial Hospital. Pick up the signup sheets in the Student Activities office, space is limited.

Psychology Club
Psychology Club welcomes psychiatrist Dr. Susan Klock from Northwestern University on Wednesday, November 12 at 3:15 p.m. in Room 368. Dr. Klock will speak about how to go about pursuing a career as a psychiatrist or psychologist and about her own experiences as a psychiatrist. All are welcome, as always!
ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT/SCHOLARSHIPS/OPPORTUNITIES
ACT Test
ACT Test is being administered at OPRFHS on December 13. The deadline to register is today, Pick-up a registration packet in the counselor’s offices or apply on-line.

Freshman Boys’ Basketball
Reminder to all freshman boys trying out for basketball - tryouts begin Mon. Nov. 10 at 3:30 p.m. in the field house. You must have a “blue card” from the athletic dept. in order to tryout. Any questions, see Coach Lohnes.
Varsity Boys’ Basketball
Any junior or senior interested in trying out for the varsity boys’ basketball team should attend open gym next week after school. Tryouts will begin on Monday, November 10. Each interested player must have an updated physical on file and the required paperwork from the Athletic office completed and turned in. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Maloney in room 350.
Winter Basketball Intramural
Sign up for Basketball Intramurals in the 3 south gym thru Nov 14. Students need $10 and student ID to register. (R. Baker)
