Students interested in participating in the Summer Arctic Exploration field course must sign-up for an interview by this Thursday in Room 128. Additionally, students should have their parents attend Arctic Parent Night this Wednesday from 7 - 8 pm. Please note that this course is not open to current seniors. For more information, see Mr. Costopoulos in Room 128.
Feminist Society (Sponsored by the History Division)
We will be discussing women in politics throughout the previous presidential race and in the elected administration. We will also be singing our letter to our representatives. We meet Thursday after school in Room 410.
Gospel Choir Concert
Don’t miss the Gospel Choir’s first concert of the year, this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Tickets are only $5 available through any Gospel Choir member or in Room 174. (L. Brown)

Thanksgiving Flower Sale
On Friday morning B.O S.S. will be selling full-stem carnations in the Student Center for $1.00. Money raised will pay for traditional holiday dinners for "10" needy families in our immediate area. Help make this holiday a truly thankful time for others in need. (M. Vance)

Come out this Friday at 7:00 p.m. for OPRF’s Turkey Morp. Doors close at 7:45 p.m. No one will be admitted after that time. Admission is $5 or only $3 if you bring a can of food to donate to families in need and your current student ID. Join in the fun this Friday.

There will be a short, mandatory meeting tonight at 6:00 p.m. in Room 371 for all members attending Illinois High School Theatre Festival in January. Remember the remainder of your Festival payment is due to Mrs. Cheney no later than Monday.
Photo Club
Photo Club will meet today in Room 334 at 3:15 p.m. We will be working on special effects with color and collage card-making. We will also be discussing our fundraising project and having open lab.

Please pick up information sheets today for this Saturday's tournament split between Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg. Coaching sheets are posted by Room 101, a minimum of 2 coaching sessions per event. New members are still invited to join. The Linda Solomon Levin Travel Award DEADLINE: December 1, 2008
The Linda Solomon Levine Travel Award will provide up to $2,500 to assist one or more African-American students to participate in an overseas student exchange trip sponsored by Oak Park and River Forest High School during the school year. Financial need is a main consideration. APPLICATIONS: Applications can be obtained from Mrs. Asbury in the Counselors Office Room 308. Completed applications are to be returned to Mrs. Asbury by December 1, 2008.
Tibensky Academic Enrichment Scholarship
DEADLINE: December 1, 2008
The Tibensky Family Academic Enrichment scholarship will provide opportunities for students to experience a wide variety of academic enrichment programs offered by Oak Park and River Forest High School. A scholarship, not to exceed $2,500, will be awarded yearly to one student wishing to participate in an overseas or domestic travel program during the school year. This is a need-based scholarship. APPLICATIONS: Applications can be obtained from Mrs. Asbury in the Counselors' Office Room 308. Completed applications are to be returned to Mrs. Asbury by December 1, 2008.

The season officially begins Mon., Nov. 24 with tryouts starting at 3:30 p.m. in the east pool—come ready to swim. You need a blue card from the athletic office to tryout. Any questions see Mr. Quinn in Room 431.
