In mid-February 2025, the district will launch ParentSquare as our communications platform for general school emails, texts, and voice messages. ParentSquare consolidates district communications into one location and can be accessed via a web portal or a mobile app.
StudentSquare is nearly identical to ParentSquare in look, feel, and operation. It’s simply rebranded for students. References to ParentSquare cover the use of StudentSquare as well.
While creating a ParentSquare account is not necessary to receive school communications, parents and guardians with accounts can view all school messaging in one place, as well as customize how (email, text, app) and when (instantly or nightly digest) you receive messages. ParentSquare also allows users to automatically send and receive messages in their preferred language.
Getting Started
All families have access to ParentSquare via the website portal on a computer or laptop, or by using the app on a mobile device. StudentSquare is the version for students; it's nearly identical to ParentSquare, just rebranded for students.
1. Access ParentSquare/StudentSquare
- To go to the website portal on a computer, laptop, or mobile device:

- To use the app on your Apple or Android mobile device: Go to your app store and download ParentSquare or StudentSquare.
2. Register
- Parents: Set up your account by entering the email address or phone number you have listed in Skyward. Then follow the instructions to verify your account and create a password.
- Students: Use the Sign in with Google button and simply use your school login and password to log in to StudentSquare.
Customize Your Notifications
You have control over both how and when you are notified of messages. To change any of your notification settings:
- Log in to your ParentSquare/StudentSquare account.
- Go to Notifications:
- In the app: Click on the three bars in the upper left corner, then click on Notifications.
- In the web portal: Click on your name in the upper right corner, then select My Account. From the list on the left-hand side, click Notification Settings.
- Notification format: By default, your account is set up to receive notifications via email, text, and the app. You can turn off any of these methods in Notifications.
- Notification timing: By default, your account is set up to receive all email, text, and app notifications in one batch, called Digest, every day around 6 p.m. To receive any of these in real time, change settings to Instant.
- Urgent alerts, which are used for emergency situations, will always arrive instantly as a text, call, and email. You cannot disable or change notification preferences for urgent alerts. Note that urgent alerts will also go to any emergency contacts in a student’s Skyward account.
Communicate in Your Preferred Language
ParentSquare/StudentSquare allows users to automatically send and receive messages in more than 100 different languages. The default is set to English. To change your language preferences at any time:
- Log in to your ParentSquare/StudentSquare account.
- Go to Language Settings:
- In the app: Click on the three bars in the upper left corner, then click on Preferences. Click Language and make your selection.
- In the web portal: Click on your name in the upper right corner, then select My Account. From the list on the left-hand side, click Language Settings and make your selection.
