Community Engagement Sessions Updates
Session 5—Oct. 3, 2018
About 100 community members attended the presentation and question-and-answer session on the draft concept for a facilities master plan, proposed sequencing, and estimated costs. We received roughly 90 questions via index cards during the session and will be posting answers as soon as we reasonably can. Session 4—May 19, 2018
At this fourth round of community engagement, we shared potential facilities concepts that have been refined based on community feedback at our April 16 session. We began with a presentation from Imagine OPRF volunteers and consulting architects from Perkins + Will. They reviewed the facilities master planning process, the challenges and opportunities that Imagine uncovered during six months of intensive research, and the concepts shared with the public in April.
Following the presentation, attendees rotated through three stations, each featuring a different concept for a long-term facilities master plan. The architects and Imagine volunteers were at each station to discuss the concepts and answer questions.
NOTE: We do not yet have cost estimates. At this stage of the master planning process, we are looking at conceptual ways of addressing facilities needs before beginning to cost out and prioritize specific elements of the concepts.
Next steps: The Imagine team will initiate discussions with the Board about a potential long-term facilities master plan at a special board meeting on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room. This is a public meeting, and all are welcome to attend.

Session 3—April 16, 2018
This third community conversation was immediately preceded by tours of the building. Attendees were able to see some of the most problematic areas identified during the six months of intensive research that Imagine team members conducted. A PDF of the tour posters describing the areas is available below.
Following the tours, consulting architects from Perkins + Will presented a first round of conceptual drawings of possible facilities solutions. The concepts are based on the research and feedback on facilities needs that the Imagine OPRF Work Group has gathered since last September. In addition to about 40 Imagine team members and administrators, approximately 125 community members attended the session and were asked to provide feedback on the concepts.

Session 2—Feb. 27, 2018
For the past six months, the four Imagine OPRF subgroups have investigated the OPRF facilities, gathered feedback from 1,600+ students and staff members, toured peer facilities, and conducted a wealth of additional research. The goal: determine the high school's facilities needs, with the goal of recommending a facilities master plan to the Board this summer. Roughly 140 attendees, including about 40 Imagine members and administrators, participated in this session, where teams shared their findings. Links below will take you to the presentations.

Session 1—Nov. 15, 2017
Approximately 90 participants attended this OPRF High School Community Conversation, including about 30 community members from the Imagine OPRF team. Chairs of the four work group teams (Academics/Student Achievement, Athletics/Extra-curricular, Performing & Fine Arts, and Physical Condition/Safety & Security) introduced their members and updated the group on their research process so far. A representative of Perkins + Will, the consulting architecture firm for Imagine, presented on future-ready learning spaces. Attendees then worked in small groups to provide a list of things they'd like the Imagine group to consider as it conducts research and creates its facilities plan recommendations.
