The application to apply and be selected as a leader for the Leadership and Launch Program 2026-2027 is open from Nov. 1 - Dec. 1.

Leadership and Launch program:
The Leadership class is paired with a peer mentoring model for freshmen. Students receive 2 elective credits (1 per semester) and a grade. In order to enroll in the class, students are invited through a rigorous selection process (video application, criteria review, and group interview). Leaders go into selected freshmen study halls and math classes to help build community and provide academic and social emotional support for an entire school year. Your application will be reviewed by teachers, counselors, deans, social workers, coaches/advisors, administration, etc. We take ATTENDANCE and GRADES into high consideration for an invitation to the interview process in January.
Our school is composed of all types of people and experiences, and everyone brings something that makes it better. The students who work best with the freshmen as mentors are individuals who can bring multiple perspectives and ideas from their vast experiences at OPRFHS in academics, clubs, activities, athletics, and outside interests. Anyone who is a current sophomore or junior is encouraged to apply. You do not have to be recommended to apply.

November 1 - December 1, 2025: Application Period
December 2 - 31, 2025: Application vetted
January 2026: Invitation to possible interview and in-person group interviews (1.5 hour commitment on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026)
