Dear Oak Park and River Forest High School Parents and Staff,
This is a letter updating you about asbestos abatement that will occur at Oak Park and River Forest High School. Asbestos abatement of floor tile, mastic, lab tops, pipe insulation, wall boards, and fume hoods will begin on June 3, 2025. All work will occur in strict accordance with regulations of the Environmental Protection Agency and the Illinois Department of Public Health. At no time will the work pose a hazard to the students at staff.
The work will be evaluated and sampled prior to occupancy.
