What it is: A committee of parents, faculty/staff, students and community members. Provides the Board of Education with recommendations for creating a welcoming environment, where all students experience a sense of belonging and the expectation of excellence and where student discipline rates are not predictable by race, socioeconomic factors, or special education status. 

Who can join: Anyone in Oak Park and River Forest—community members, parents, faculty/staff members, and students.

Time commitment: Four meetings during the 2025-2026 school year.

  • Sept. 10, 2025, 6:30 p.m.: Participate in our session with inQUEST Consulting, aimed at developing a school culture where we are able to navigate thorny, complex issues, despite differences in opinions and beliefs.
  • Two to three meetings this winter/spring (Feb. 18, March 18, April 22) 2026: Review the school’s annual Behavior Education Plan and provide input on potential revisions for next school year.
