Schoolwide Assessment Information for Spring 2026

Hands typing on a laptop keyboard, with a blurred background.

On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, as required by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), OPRFHS will administer the PreACT 9 Secure to freshmen, the PreACT Secure to sophomores, and the School Day ACT with Writing to juniors. These assessments will be administered in an online format. Students are required to bring their fully charged Chromebooks for testing on April 14.

As the testing app, TestNav, has already been uploaded onto all school-issued student Chromebooks, students can familiarize themselves with the exam tools (highlighter, calculator, etc.) as well as take a practice exam here:

The ACT with Writing (juniors)
PreACT Secure (freshmen and sophomores)

Completion of the ISBE ACT School Day with Writing is a graduation requirement for all students, except those whose IEP allows for alternative testing. Seniors who did not take the School Day SAT during their junior year are required to test and are being notified. Please note that taking a National ACT on a Saturday does not count towards this ISBE graduation requirement. As this is an ISBE-required School Day test, students are automatically registered through our school.  The standard administration (without accommodations) of the assessments identified above will take approximately four and a half hours. Tuesday, April 14, 2026, is a non-attendance day for seniors.

Students are encouraged to create a MyACT student account by going to myact.org if they have not created one already. MyACT accounts can be used to prepare for the test, view and send test scores, explore colleges and careers, and college planning. More information regarding how to create new MyACT student accounts, how to access existing MyACT student accounts, accommodations, practice, and test day room assignments will be sent out closer to the dates listed above.

Sincerely,

Ms. Jennifer Brinkman, Director of Student Learning
Dr. Lesley Roberts, Assistant Director of Special Education
Ms. Kimberly Asbury, Testing Specialist
Ms. Carin Lucas, SSD Coordinator
