Career and Technical Education
Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs provide instruction for careers in high-wage, high-skill, and in-demand occupations. CTE programs strengthen students’ technical skills; articulate transitions to post-secondary programs, employment, or both; assist in meeting the Illinois Learning Standards; and close achievement gaps. Several CTE courses are aligned with college courses for dual credit, and some involve students being dual enrolled with the partner colleges and institutions that provide either early college credit or industry-specific certification.
Many programs of study within CTE provide students with the additional opportunity of earning the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) College and Career Pathway Endorsement (CCPE) on their official school transcript. These endorsements are earned by completing an individualized learning plan, a career-focused instructional sequence, and professional learning opportunities, all embedded within courses. Currently, CCPEs are offered in the following:

Additional courses are offered in the following CTE departments:
- Business Education
- Health Careers
