Curricular Bands

In rare cases, we can accommodate piano players in all our curricular band classes.

Concert Bands

• Concert Band: Freshmen only. If you play a band instrument and have had at least one year of instruction either privately or in a middle school group, you may participate in this ensemble. No audition necessary. NOTE: If you are a freshman and interested in a challenge, you may audition for Wind Symphony.
• Symphonic Band: Sophomores through seniors. No audition necessary.
• Wind Symphony: All grades. By audition only, held annually in Februrary.
• Wind Ensemble: Capstone course for bands. Sophomores through seniors. By audition only.  

Jazz Ensemble 

Our curricular jazz band, by audition only. All grades, freshman through senior, may audition if you play saxophone, trumpet, trombone, bass, guitar, piano, or drums.

Extra-Curricular Bands

• Jazz Band II: If you play saxophone, trumpet, trombone, bass, guitar, piano, drum set, flute or clarinet, you may participate in this group, no audition necessary. Meets every Tuesday after school starting in September.
• Marching Huskies: No audition necessary for this marching band. The only requirement is that you must be enrolled in a curricular music class for at least the first two years of high school. Marching Huskies perform for all home football games as well as participate in three-four competitions. Marching Band lasts for the first quarter of the school year and has mandatory summer rehearsals.
• Color Guard: Color Guard is part of Marching Band but is exempt from the curricular music class requirement and does not need past instrumental experience. Color Guard uses flags and movement to perform with Marching Band at all home football games.
• Pep Band: No audition necessary. Pep Band plays for all varsity basketball games.
