Dual Credit

The OPRFHS/Triton College Dual Credit Program is a great opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school, something that will potentially save you money in college tuition and help you advance quickly toward a post-high school degree. You do not have to attend Triton College to benefit from dual credit. Many colleges and universities accept dual credit courses from Triton, and if you have specific questions about whether this is a good option for you, we encourage you to reach out to your counselor.

Students enrolled in a dual credit eligible course at OPRFHS should have received communication via their student email from the OPRFHS Office of Student Learning.

Dual Enrollment Programs

Students have the opportunity to earn post-secondary credit through enrollment in our dual enrollment program. These programs are conducted after regular school hours and are available at the following locations:

Concordia University Chicago- Pathways to Teaching
Triton College - Barbering & Cosmetology

Placement Testing Information

Certain dual credit courses have college-level math and English placement prerequisites that need to be met in order to qualify for registration by Triton. Please refer to the Triton College and OPRF Master List of Dual Credit Courses and Triton College’s placement information to see if you meet the placement level or if you need to test to determine your qualification.

If you do not meet the placement prerequisites, you will need to complete the ACCUPLACER Placement Exam to qualify for registration at Triton College.
- The Triton Testing Center currently offers both on-campus and remote placement testing options through appointments that may be scheduled here.
- Please carefully read all directions and technical specifications. For current hours of operation and practice materials, please visit the Triton College Testing Center webpage.
If you have met the prerequisites through other placement measures (e.g., ACT or SAT scores, transitional math, or developmental math courses), you will need to send your standardized test scores or high school transcript to the Triton College Records Office, located in B-220 on Triton’s campus.
