State Accountability Assessments in 2019 - 2020

The Illinois State Board of Education's testing requirements changed in July 2016. The following tests are now required:

SAT with essay

All juniors

Beginning with the class of 2018, juniors will be required to take the SAT in order to earn an Illinois public high school diploma (unless there is an IEP that specifies that the appropriate assessment is the DLM-AA).

PSAT 8/9

&

PSAT 10

All Freshman and Sophomores

Beginning in 2018-19 school year, the Illinois State Board of Education requires all freshman and sophomores to take the PSAT 8/9 or PSAT 10 (as designated by grade) in order to ensure accountability.

DLM-Alternate Assessment Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors with IEPs that specify Alternate Assessment

Testing Window:

March 11 - May 6

ACCESS for ELLs English Language Learners who have not yet attained proficient scores on a prior year's ACCESS test

Testing Window: January 15 - February 18

Illinois Science Assessment

***Beginning in Spring 2020, all students who are grade 11 at the time of testing must participate in the ISA. This includes students who have participated in any ISA administration of course-based biology previously.
