The Driver Education (DE) Summer School program will run from June 7 through July 2. The remote online classroom portion will run from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Monday through Friday. Attendance is extremely important and students are expected to be actively participating in class every day for the full 90 minutes. The Behind the Wheel (BTW) portion will run later in  the day as a “sign up” program. Strict COVID mitigation protocols will be in place for the BTW portion. The sign-up process and BTW driving times will be discussed during the DE Parent/Teen meeting. Do not consider taking the course if you will not be in town to participate in both the online classroom and the BTW driving experience simultaneously, as this will not be a DE classroom-only course.

Please complete this Summer DE Interest Form by Friday, March 26. Completion of the form does not guarantee a spot in the summer DE program. Students will be selected by age (oldest first) and residency, with Oak Park and River Forest residents selected first. If selected to be in the program, you will receive an invitation email by April 9. A parent/guardian and student will be required to attend a webinar DE meeting on April 20 at 7:00 p.m. to complete registration.
