Dear Families and Students,
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we work to plan for the upcoming school year. We would like to inform you that, if at all possible, OPRFHS is planning to administer the SAT with Essay to our seniors in person this fall, in accordance with the Illinois State Board of Education and Department of Public Health guidelines. As you know, this information is based on our current situation and is subject to change. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you informed.
12th graders who take the SAT with Essay Fall 2020 will:
1. Meet the graduation requirement.
2. Have the opportunity to receive a timely college reportable score.
3. Have a scholarship-reportable score.
At this time, the state has not waived the SAT graduation requirement for the class of 2021. As a result, eligible grade 12th students who choose not to participate in the ISBE-provided SAT with Essay fall 2020 administration must participate in the state’s final accountability assessment in spring 2021 to meet the graduation requirement.
The tentative dates provided for testing are as follows:
|SAT Standard Administration||SAT Nonstandard Administration
(College Board Approved Accommodations)
|September 23||September 24-25|
|October 14||October 15-16|
|October 27 (makeup testing)||October 26-27 (makeup testing)|
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the school will be devising the schedule for student testing. Please know that all scores will be received by November 5. We will let you know your student’s testing schedule at a later date.
