For the 25th consecutive year, Oak Park and River Forest High School has received the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO).
“This is a prestigious achievement that we are honored to earn,” said OPRFHS Chief Financial Officer Cyndi Sidor. “Continuing to be recognized year after year is a testament to our district’s commitment to transparent stewardship of public funds.”
OPRFHS earned the Certificate of Excellence for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for fiscal year 2020. The ACFR is submitted for review by a team of financial professionals, who provide feedback to improve future documents. If it meets the requirements of the program, the document may receive the Certificate of Excellence. A district’s participation in the Certificate of Excellence program can also positively affect its bond rating.
On Oct. 14, 2021, the ASBO recognized OPRFHS as a recipient of the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting during its annual conference and expo.
